Hi, and
welcome to ‘The Wedding Bell’ . . . a new kind of
wedding gown shop where the dresses are extremely affordable. The reason for
this is that they are not individually ordered. Instead, you buy your dress off
the peg and - if no alterations are required - you can take it straight home
if you wish.
• Some
of the dresses are bought from wedding gown retailers who sell their
display gowns. These dresses
will have been handled and tried on but never worn.
• Some
dresses have been bought privately and for various reasons have never
been worn so are still brand new. The
most common reason for this is that the bride's size changed so she decided
to have a completely new dress! It is also the case that the bride sometimes
buys her dress very soon then sees another and changes her mind. Many
times wedding plans change and if a couple change venue or even country,
the dress may be considered inappropriate for the new occasion.
• There
are also some dresses which have been worn once and the bride has decided
to sell the dress. This gives
me the opportunity to pass this dress on at a greatly reduced price to
you, and as these have only been worn a few hours they are clean and
in excellent condition. These dresses can be the best bargains as they
are often top quality designer labels and have been very expensive when
new.
I
do not sell any dress that I would not have been willing to wear
on my own wedding day, so they are all in tip-top condition as
you will see if you visit. The styles also vary greatly, from
quite informal to the big-white-wedding-of-the-year style.
Having
said that, on my own wedding day I did
not actually buy a dress! Dressmaking is
my passion so I made my own and have made
other wedding dresses since. Because of
this I am excited about being able to alter
or resize most dresses where it is possible
to do so. This gives you the bride a great
advantage in getting exactly the look you
want at a price you can afford with a fit
that is just perfect!
